Applying for a qualified contractor permit

Any Person engaging in construction activities within the City’s public right-of-way is required to be obtain a Qualified Contractor Permit. Additionally, any Contractor installing utilities must be licensed by the State of Georgia as a “Utility Contractor.” Prior to starting any construction activity in the City’s right-of-way, contractors must apply for a Qualified Contractor Permit via ATLDOT's online permit application system. In addition, knowing the last date a road was resurfaced is needed for you to plan the required restoration of roadways after work has been completed.
