ATLDOT is pleased to announce the reopening of Cascade Road SW following the completion of resurfacing, restoring direct access to businesses along the Cascade corridor.

To accelerate the reopening of Cascade Road and ensure timely completion of resurfacing activities, ATLDOT initiated a 24-hour construction schedule from August 11-August 16, 2025, to remove the detour between Willis Mill Road SW and Kingsdale Drive SW. Despite rainy weather conditions, crews successfully completed milling, repaving, and temporary roadway striping on Tuesday, August 19.

Cascade Road serves as a vital corridor for both residential and commercial areas within southwest Atlanta.
