Atlanta Streets Alive is a FREE open-street, community, event series that celebrates Atlanta's urban core and supports local business with temporary car-free streets. Over seven Sundays in 2024, over three miles of Atlanta Streets will close to cars and open to people!

Atlanta Streets Alive opens streets temporarily for constituents to bike, walk, skate, dance, and play.

The events turn the street into a park space that connects our city. Atlanta Streets Alive is not a festival, parade, or a race, attendees can start or stop at any point.

• Atlanta Streets Alive promotes safe transportation options on our city streets.

• Promotes Active Transportation: Encourages walking, cycling, skating, MARTA and all forms of active transportation to improve public health, reduce traffic congestion, and promote environmentally friendly modes of travel.
• Encourages Community Engagement: Provides a platform for community members to come together, fostering social interactions, and building a sense of community and positive engagement with City Departments.
• Showcases Businesses + Culture: Highlights local businesses, artists, and cultural activities along the open streets. Supports local business sales and growing audiences for developments along the route.
• Is Moving Atlanta Forward: Supports the City of Atlanta Moving Atlanta Forward initiative.

Atlanta Streets Alive 2025 will activate Ralph David Abernathy / Georgia Ave from Gordon White Park to Grant Park.
Atlanta Streets Alive 2025 will activate Atlanta on Peachtree Street from 15th Street to Alabama Street.
Additionally, Atlanta Streets Alive 2025 will feature an "ASA Mini" activation, a 1-mile route at a location to be determined, bringing the open streets experience to more neighborhoods across the city.

Meet up with friends and family at a local business or one of the activity hubs along the route. Vehicles will be able to cross the route at APD-monitored traffic crossings, see maps for details.
