The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) will impose a Memorial Day weekend moratorium on lane, road, and sidewalk closures to provide the public with access to all roads within the City of Atlanta for travel and excursions free of work. 

Conditions of the moratorium include: 

• The moratorium will be in effect from noon on Friday, May 24, 2024, until 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, after the Memorial Day Holiday. 
• During this period, no lane, road, or sidewalk closure for construction will be allowed on any City of Atlanta side street, local street, collectors and/or arterials, sidewalks, and easements. 

Existing, more stringent restrictions for specific construction projects, will still apply.
