Traffic patterns have shifted on a portion of Sidney Marcus Boulevard NE as the City of Atlanta Department Watershed Management (DWM) crews repair a roadway washout from excessive rain.
A portion of one (1) westbound lane of Sidney Marcus NE leading to the SR 400 North on ramp has been closed. All other lanes remain open.
The roadway washout was reported at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday,
February 12, 2024. Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) and DWM crews immediately responded and installed safety measures, including barriers of metal plates and barricades, making the roadway passable for vehicular traffic.
Motorists are encouraged to adhere to safety measures that have been implemented. Alternate routes have been added to GPS navigation services.
