The City of Atlanta’s Department of Transportation has authorized a full road closure on a portion of Ormond Street SE to accommodate stormwater infrastructure repair.

The daily closures will impact one block at a time and will remain in effect until work is complete in April 2026. There will be no road closures or work during holiday dates in December 2025 and January 2026 to accommodate travel.

Stormwater infrastructure repair work will be completed one block at a time with detour signage in place to direct travelers around each block under active construction.

Work on Ormond Street SE will proceed in multiple phases as follows: 

• Greenfield St SE to Connally St SE
• Hank Aaron Dr to Fraser St SE 
• Fraser St SE to Martin St SE 
• Martin St SE to Greenfield St SE 
• Connally St SE to Grant Terrace SE
