The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) is pleased to announce that all lanes along Lavista Road NE from Citadel Drive NE to Cheshire Bridge Road NE are now open to traffic. Portions of Lavista Road NE had been closed since November 11, 2023 following an early morning fire at the Reserve at La Vista Walk Apartments. Damage to the property required the building to be demolished before the road could be safely opened.

The sidewalk on the south side of Lavista Road NE, from the entrance to the Reserve at Lavista Walk, (1155 Lavista Road NE) to Cheshire Bridge Road NE will remain closed. Detour signage will direct pedestrians to the open sidewalk on the north side of Lavista Road NE.
