Temporary detour will be in place from 10:00 p.m. TONIGHT (Tuesday, June 9, 2026) through 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

What

The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) announces an impendingpartial-to-full detour at the intersection of Andew Young International Boulevard NWand Peachtree Street to accommodate crosswalk mural installations.

Peachtree Street’s northbound and southbound traffic will be diverted at both Ellis Street and John Portman Boulevard NE. Westbound traffic along Andrew Young International Boulevard NE will be diverted at Peachtree Center Avenue NE. Detours will be removed as work progresses.

Enforcement officers and flaggers will be onsite to assist with traffic control.

The following detours will be in effect to accommodate the closure:

Peachtree St Closure - Traveling Northbound on Peachtree St

Turn right onto Ellis Ave NE
Turn left onto Peachtree Center Ave NE
Turn left onto Baker St NE
Turn right to continue north on Peachtree St

Peachtree St Closure - Traveling Southbound on Peachtree St

Turn right onto Baker Street NE
Turn left onto Williams Street NE
Turn left onto Carnegie Way to Ellis Street NE
Turn right to continue south on Peachtree St

Andrew Young International Blvd Closure – Traveling westbound on Andrew YoungInternational Blvd NE
Turn right onto Peachtree Center Ave NE
Turn left onto Baker St NE
Continue westbound on Baker St NE/Baker St NWTurn left onto Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW
Turn right onto Andrew Young International Blvd NW
