The Atlanta Department of Transportation, through its Safe Routes to School Program, will host a Play Street event at Humphries Elementary School. Play Street events offer youth an opportunity to engage in fun and interactive activities freely and safely on the street while also reducing car congestion near school campuses and increasing active travel.
Fostering community connection and creating more car-free school zones, this event highlights the importance of prioritizing safe walking and biking conditions during school drop-off and pick-up times and encourages more families to walk, bike, & roll to school during National Bike & Roll to School month.
