Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) has authorized a full road closure on a portion of 8th Street NW to accommodate a tree removal.

The following detours will be in effect to accommodate the closure.

Traveling eastbound on 8th St NE

Turn left onto Taft Ave NE
Turn right onto 9th St NE

Traveling northbound on Charles Allen Dr NE

Turn left onto 9th St NE
Turn left onto Argonne Ave NE  

Southbound on Charles Allen Drive NE

Turn right onto 7th St NE
Turn right onto Durant Pl NE.

The sidewalk along the south side of 8th Street NE will be closed to pedestrians, while the sidewalk along the north side of 8th Street NE will remain open.
