The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) has implemented the recommendations outlined in the Freight ATL: Northwest Atlanta Industrial Area Freight Study removing city truck routes adjacent to the Atlanta Beltline in Northwest Atlanta.

Project Implementation:
ATLDOT has installed signs indicating that trucks are now restricted from using the following corridorsElaine Avenue between Marietta Boulevard and Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard
Jefferson Street between Marietta Boulevard and J.E. Lowery Boulevard Huff Road between Marietta Boulevard and Howell Mill RoadEllsworth Industrial Boulevard between Chattahoochee Avenue and Huff Road Collier Road between Chattahoochee Avenue and Howell Mill Road and to prevent a spur north of I-75, remove the segment of Howell Mill Road between I-75 and Collier RoadHowell Mill Road between Chattahoochee Avenue and West Marietta Street. Segments on 17th, 14th, and 10th streets between Howell Mill Road and Northside Drive have also been removed from truck routes to prevent dead-end spurs.
Enforcement:
The Atlanta Police Department in Zones 1, 2 and 5 will assist with enforcement of truck routes through a combination of community policing and traffic units.
