The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT), Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari,and local Cabbagetown community organizations will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Pearl Street Traffic Calming Project. This project aims to improve pedestrian safety and mobility along Pearl Street SE, between SR 154/Memorial Drive SE and Gaskill Street SE.
Pedestrian safety improvements will feature a raised mid-block concrete crosswalk, speed tables, ADA-compliant curb ramps, upgraded granite curbing, enhanced traffic signage, road striping, and improved drainage systems. Upon completion, these improvements will enhance safety and accessibility for all users.
