Quick Implementation Bicycle Projects

Projects designed to improve and expand the City’s bicycle network in several locations that include signage, some resurfacing, restriping, signal upgrades, crossing upgrades, and bus stop enhancements. Enhancements include protected bicycle lanes along Whitehall St and Murphy Ave connecting from Ralph David Abernathy Blvd to Memorial Dr, protected bicycle lanes along Central Park Pl from Highland Ave to North Ave, and bicycle lanes and signal improvements at the Milton Ave and Lakewood Ave intersection.

Milton Ave – 0.19 miles from Atlanta BeltLine Southside Trail to Lakewood Ave – Scope of the project includes a restriping of Milton Ave to include protected bike lanes in both directions and traffic signal upgrades to improve intersection safety.
