Applying for a franchise utility permit
A utility business entity that has entered into a Franchise Agreement, with the exception of certain permitted telecommunications companies, with the City for the operation of its utility facilities within the City’s public right-of-way. Franchised Utilities make regular franchise fee payments to the City for use of the City’s public right-of-way, in accordance with the applicable Franchise Agreement.
