Peachtree St Safe Street – Midtown

This project proposes to reduce the number of vehicular travel lanes while introducing horizontal and vertical traffic calming measures such as lane shifts, mid-block raised crossings, and raised intersections. These measures force drivers to pay attention and will slow traffic while also providing new opportunities for improved pedestrian amenities, space for loading and delivery, and for green infrastructure.
