Lenor Bromberg, P.E., F.ASCE
Lenor M. Bromberg, is an accomplished civil engineering and public-sector leader with more than 30 years of experience shaping transportation, land development, and infrastructure programs across Georgia and Florida. Her career reflects a deep commitment to building resilient, well‑connected communities through thoughtful planning, technical excellence, and collaborative leadership.
Ms. Bromberg currently serves as Deputy Commissioner for the City of Atlanta’s Department of Transportation, where she oversees engineering operations that support one of the nation’s most dynamic urban transportation systems. She leads teams responsible for planning, design, and construction of major mobility improvements, ensuring that Atlanta’s infrastructure investments advance safety, sustainability, and long‑term citywide goals.
Prior to joining Atlanta, she spent eight years with the City of Roswell, Georgia, holding key leadership roles including City Engineer, Deputy Director, and Interim Director of the Community Development Department. Her work strengthened development review processes, modernized departmental operations, and advanced transportation initiatives that improved connectivity and quality of life for residents.
Ms. Bromberg’s earlier experience spans both public agencies and private consulting firms. This diverse background gives her a comprehensive understanding of project development from concept through construction, as well as the challenges faced by both project owners and consultants.
Her contributions to the profession have earned significant recognition, including multiple selections to “Engineering Georgia’s Top 100 Influential Women in Georgia Engineering” and honors such as GSPE’s “Engineer of the Year in Government” and the ASCE Georgia Section’s “Engineer of the Year”.
A Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Ms. Bromberg has held numerous national and regional leadership positions within ASCE. She holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and maintains professional engineering licensure in Georgia.
