Atlanta Department of Transportation and Cyvl to Highlight Citywide Infrastructure Assessment Partnership and Roadside Demonstration of AI and LiDAR Technology

ATLDOT Commissioner Solomon Caviness and Cyvl leadership will discuss the City of Atlanta’s expanded, citywide infrastructure intelligence partnership. This follows the success of the 2025 Downtown Pavement Program, where Cyvl’s AI-powered roadway scanning helped raise the pavement condition index from 63.5 (“fair”) to 75.3 (“good”) and reduce potholes downtown by 60 percent ahead of the summer’s FIFA World Cup matches.
The expanded partnership now covers roadways, sidewalks, curb ramps, and street signs across every neighborhood, giving ATLDOT continuously updated, objective data to guide maintenance and investment decisions.
Following remarks, media will be able to view a live roadside demonstration of Cyvl’s LiDAR sensors, imagery capture workflows, and AI analysis in action. ATLDOT and Cyvl representatives will be available for interviews on-site.
