5th St Complete Street

Includes bicycle, pedestrian, and multi-modal improvements along 1.5 miles of 5th St, from Williams St near Tech Square to Myrtle St in the Midtown Garden District. The project will replace damaged sidewalks and curbs; install curb extensions and bulb-outs; upgrade crosswalks as needed to be ADA-compliant; infill and replace pedestrian-scale lighting; infill and replace street trees; resurface and restripe roadway pavement; install a new traffic signal at Williams St & 5th St; and upgrade the existing bicycle facilities with high-quality connections (two-way cycle track on Tech Square) to the larger Midtown bicycle network.
